Is it weird to be 30 years old and to want to be adopted by another family? Because that's exactly how I've felt since I heard of this session idea from this awesome family!!! Mama Copeland did an excellent job of coordinating these super heroes for an exciting and out of the box photo session! I couldn't contain my excitement and the day of the session I was just downright giddy. You know you've met a family's vision when they skip classes at church to show these photos to their friends! ;) Just for future reference - I LOVE shooting themed sessions. Throw any idea at me!

The Cleghorns | Knoxville Family Photographer
Here's another family that I'm lucky to be great friends with. I have shared so much with this Mama - we've been through so many ups and downs together. For this session, I felt so lucky to document the past several years of their lives, including the recent adoption of their cutie-patootie son. Dad has recently joined the Air Force and will be sweeping the family away soon so they wanted to get some photos at the sites that mean the most to them in Knoxville. UT's campus was a given. Then we went to the graveside of their first born son. To be let in to that special part of their lives was so touching. I hope I was able to capture a glimpse of their lives in Knoxville. Good luck, Cleghorns! You will be missed!!!

The Clapps | Knoxville Family Photographer
I adore this family. They've been with me through thick and thin. I've had the privilege of photographing their family as it's grown and I also have the privilege of calling them great friends and neighbors. I was so excited to explore The Fruit and Berry Patch with them on a chilly autumn day. The little girls were so fun and full of smiles and Mom and Dad were just absolutely in love. They warmed my heart on that chilly, chilly evening!

Alex - Class of 2014 | Knoxville Senior Photographer
This beautiful girl has a little bit of everything up her sleeve! She's brainy and seems to be a jack of all trades! She photographs beautifully, fences, is an archer, dances and is spiritual! She's making plans for college and has high aspirations. Good luck, Alex!

Maddison & Fernando - Engaged! | Knoxville Wedding Photographer
This has definitely been one of my most favorite sessions of the year. One reason is because we spent it enjoying the crisp autumn air in my favorite place out here in East Tennessee: Cades Cove :) Another reason was the beautiful late afternoon light and watching the deer in the area graze on the tall golden grass. But the biggest reason was these guys! They have been awesome to work with so far. They are laid back, full of love for each other, easy to make giggle and were willing to wander all over that countryside just so I could get the shot! I can't wait to see them again and further document their love for each other! You just can't go wrong when you meet each other tango dancing! :)
The Richardsons | Knoxville Family Photographer
This family. I barely know them, as they are new to the Knoxville area, but in the short amount of time I've known them since this session, I have grown to love them! There are so many words I could use to describe them: humble, beautiful, kind, funny, super sweet, adventurous, etc. I think any more adjectives would give me creeper status since I barely know them, but they are incredible. Incredible people and incredible to photograph! Mom did a perfect job coordinating their outfits and really cracked me up when she said she was nervous about how well they did because they aren't very photogenic...what!? I must say Mama Richardson, that you are all extremely photogenic and I truly enjoyed our session together! I hope you're enjoying Knoxville!
