Maddison & Fernando - Engaged! | Knoxville Wedding Photographer

This has definitely been one of my most favorite sessions of the year.  One reason is because we spent it enjoying the crisp autumn air in my favorite place out here in East Tennessee:  Cades Cove :)  Another reason was the beautiful late afternoon light and watching the deer in the area graze on the tall golden grass.  But the biggest reason was these guys!  They have been awesome to work with so far.  They are laid back, full of love for each other, easy to make giggle and were willing to wander all over that countryside just so I could get the shot!  I can't wait to see them again and further document their love for each other!  You just can't go wrong when you meet each other tango dancing! :)

Ali & Colten

This sweet, young couple  wanted some photos taken to celebrate their love and best friendship before Colten left to serve a two year mission for his church.  These two are absolute sweeties and were so much fun, really doing whatever I wanted whenever I wanted them!  They even went beyond the call of duty by accidentally laying in some dog doo doo... Oops!  It definitely created genuine smiles for my camera anytime  I mentioned it though!  Good luck you two!

Michelle & Terrin - Engaged! | Knoxville Wedding Photographer

There is such a fun story to go with this session! Michelle and I were BFFs when we were about 3-6 years old. She lived behind me and we had all kinds of adventures (mostly the kind that got us in trouble). We went to school with Terrin, and our old yearbooks even have photos of them sitting side by side in the 1st grade. In the second grade, Michelle moved away and I had very little contact with her after that. Terrin moved away sophomore year. Nearly 25 years later, Michelle and I found each other on Facebook and when she and Terrin reconnected, began dating and got engaged, it was such a fun moment. Then, after not having much contact for all those years, Michelle asked me to do their wedding photos and instead of me driving eight hours to Illinois to see them for their engagement session, they drove all the way out to Knoxville to spend a short weekend catching up and taking photos. We had such a blast. The true blue (or should I say red?) Cardinals fans had to pay homage to their team in Braves territory and while recreating a baseball field on the RR tracks, we got hunted down, chastised and were threatened with jail time for being on the tracks. Then we went to Cades Cove for a beautiful mountain shoot. The clouds parted just long enough for us to have the most beautiful sunset (see wall photos). It was perfect. It was so fun and it felt like we had never been apart. Michelle and Terrin are so stinking cute together - I'm pretty sure that in all the time I knew Terrin, I saw more genuine and laughing smiles from him around Michelle than I saw in all our school years together  They were made for each other and fate brought them together again. I'm pretty sure it's one of the best love stories I've heard 

The Hursts - 10 Years!

Oh, the Hursts. They are legends in our house. My hubby has shared many a story involving these two. They all grew up together and went through so much together. That history was evident when we all met up to do the Hursts 10 year anniversary shoot. I could barely keep those three from distracting each other with their antics and when they succeeded in making each other laugh, they couldn't be reined in! I'm so glad I got the chance to get to know them better. You guys are moving back up here now, right? It was a hilarious shoot and I'm so honored they chose me to do their photos. Happy Anniversary!

Travis is so manly - this recently-home-from-a-deployment soldier agreed to my suggestion to skip, much to all of our delight! ;)
