Caroline is 1!!! | Knoxville Child Photographer

This girl.  Oh my goodness.  I have been so lucky to photograph this beauty, her older sister and her parents since their family first started expanding.  I have so loved watching them grow, making them smile and just enjoying their absolute sweetness!!!  Caroline's smile is so contagious.  There aren't too many babies I feel the need to squish their cheeks between my fingers, but Caroline's are irresistible!!!

Here's another family that I'm lucky to be great friends with.  I have shared so much with this Mama - we've been through so many ups and downs together.  For this session, I felt so lucky to document the past several years of their lives, including the recent adoption of their cutie-patootie son.  Dad has recently joined the Air Force and will be sweeping the family away soon so they wanted to get some photos at the sites that mean the most to them in Knoxville.  UT's campus was a given.  Then we went to the graveside of their first born son.  To be let in to that special part of their lives was so touching.  I hope I was able to capture a glimpse of their lives in Knoxville.  Good luck, Cleghorns!  You will be missed!!!

Baby Sam is one!  I've gotten to know this cutie pie pretty well through the lens. This family is another repeat customer that I just can't get enough of.  Sam's mom is a creative genius and always has fun idea up her sleeve.  On this particular day, we did some Halloween costumes, a hot air balloon set up and a cake smash!  Talk about a jam packed session!  When editing, I was able to venture away from my style just a smidge because I know her mom likes the matte, hazy edits.  It was a fun change from my normal style!

The McDonald Family | Knoxville Family Photographer

This family has got to be one of my favorite families to not only hang out with but to photograph!  Mama comes whether Dad can or not and handles these two handsome boys like a superwoman.  Our sessions are never stressful, despite one little toddler giving me a week's workout every time!

  Mama is an excellent teacher, mentors other teachers and is one of the best mothers I know.  Those boys are absolutely loved and I so enjoy capturing that for them :)

The McPherson & Westmoreland Family

This session was so fun. None of the men wanted to be there at all, but they warmed up to me, especially when they learned I could take their jabs about my posing lingo (shimmy, scootch, etc)! The guys did a great job putting up with me but the highlight of the session was that sweet little 6 month olds photos! Mom clued me in on a little secret: when you make farting sounds, the baby smiles every time. Let me tell you, it worked every.single.time!!!! Getting her to smile couldn't have been any easier and it was so fun to hear all the oohs and aahs from the "audience" behind me while I was taking photos of that sweetie. Thanks for inviting me to capture your beautiful family, Patsy!

The Vernon Family

I adore this family. We have a long history together and I've been blessed enough to watch their family grow through my lens from the moment this mom and dad got married. I've documented their family's growth each and every year and each year I look forward to it. Our sessions are always a blast: tickle fights are common and the easiest way to get someone to smile. And mom is SO sneaky about it, I don't usually catch it! Without further adieu, here is one of my favorite families :)
