A Flower Tangent

Taking a break from portraits for a moment, I wanted to share what I captured in my yard. I love lilies.  Not only are they some of my favorite people, they are also my favorite flowers.  I'm not picky.  Any lily will do.

I also love mimosa trees.  I never knew they bloomed so beautifully.  All I knew about them growing up was that I loved to pluck their 'ittle bitty leaves off the long frond one by one.  I also knew they spread like weeds, which is why my parents always tried to rid the yard of them.  Now I have a full grown mimosa tree on the border of our woods behind our house.  I fell in love the first time it bloomed.
